Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, Advisor to the President of Sudan, who is currently visiting the BA to participate in the Arab Culture Conference, donated some of his works to the BA.
Dr. Mustafa stressed his keenness on maintaining the cultural relations between Sudan and Egypt, which will be developed through the participation of a number of Sudanese intellectuals in many events in Egypt in the coming period.
Among the most prominent works Dr. Mustafa has donated to the BA are Managing Conflicts between Islam and the West: A Comparative Study between the Islamic Approach and International Practices; Contemporary African Issues; IGAD Nations: Sudan’s Vision for Integration and Regional Security; and Globalization and Sudan’s Foreign Policy with the Dawn of the New Millennium.
The first book discusses conflicts in Islam through the Holy Quran, Sunna, and Al-sīra al-Nabawiyya (prophetic biography), while Contemporary African Issues tackles African developments and challenges, African European relations, Arabs and Africa, and the Arab-African methods of communication.
Moreover, Globalization and Sudan’s Foreign Policy with the Dawn of the New Millennium tackles the effects of capitalism and globalization on the Sudanese economy; globalization and diplomatic mass media and communications; and foreign policy developments in the third millennium.
