The Ministry of Culture Supports the Alexandrina International Book Fair

Alexandria— different institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Culture will participate in the fourth Alexandrina International Book Fair. Dr. Ismail Serageldin extended a special invitation to HE Farouk Hosny, Minister of Culture to attend the opening of the Fair. The General Egyptian Book Organization will participate in the Fair with a 150 meters pavilion featuring the publications of the Organization and the Reading for All Festival. The Book Organization will also participate with the series of Egyptian's history and heritage books, children stories, as well as English and French publications.
On the other hand, the Egyptian National Library (Dar el Kotob) will present its publication including books on heritage, rarities by Taha Hussein, such as his PhD thesis on Ibn Khaldun , and the publications of the Center for Contemporary History of Egypt. The Cultural Development Fund will also present in the Fair the publications of the National Project for Translation, more than 1000 translated books with a special discount for the fair visitors. The Academy of Arts will participate in the fair for the first time with its series on cinema and literary criticism. The Supreme Council for Antiquities will present several publications on Ancient Egyptian and Islamic Antiquities, museum guides, and periodicals.
