The ceremony is held as part of the African League of Young Masters (ALYM) program, which is organized by the BA Center for Environmental Studies. The program aims to open channels of communication between African students in Alexandria and their Egyptians peers through weekly meetings, held every Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm; and various activities and field trips through which they can share and exchange knowledge and experience. ALYM also aims to strengthen the Egyptian-African relations by preparing these graduates to become future ambassadors for Egypt in different African countries. Several ambassadors of the students’ countries of origin have been invited to attend the graduation ceremony.
